Agroaceite joins the Rainforest Alliance’s week-long celebration: Follow the Frog to raise awareness about changing the way the world produces, supplies and consumes.
Agroaceite, in alliance with Landscale and Rainforest Alliance, has implemented projects that generate an impact on natural resource conservation and food security.
Among them, we developed a plant nursery with a capacity of 100,000 trees that will be used to reforest the banks of rivers in southwestern Guatemala and thereby promote ecosystem conservation. To date, more than 20,000 trees have been donated to government institutions and communities in Retalhuleu, Quetzaltenango and San Marcos to promote the reforestation of those areas.
LandScale is an initiative that drives sustainability in places where basic food is produced. It provides information on efforts to protect ecosystems, promote human well-being, improve governance and optimize productivity within the ecosystem.
LandScale has identified six productive landscapes to work on, in Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru, where Agroaceite has been invited to participate as a key partner for landscape conservation.
We are proud to be part of the Rainforest Alliance’s “Movement For Positive Change” because, as the slogan of the Follow the Frog campaign says, “Small decisions can create a big impact,” said Fernando Bolaños, CEO of Agroaceite.
