Agroaceite, in alliance with Landscale and Rainforest Alliance, has implemented projects that generate an impact on natural resource conservation and food security.
Among them, we developed a plant nursery with a capacity of 100,000 trees that will be used to reforest the banks of rivers in southwestern Guatemala and thereby promote ecosystem conservation. Agroaceite invited directors of the Local Coordinators for Disaster Reduction to a workshop organized by CONRED and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
The training was based on the Japanese “HUG” methodology aimed at shelter management; it is a capacity development project for risk management in Central America.
The Agroaceite School carried out the graduation of pre-school and elementary school students, who have been taught through an active methodology applied in alliance with Funcafé.
The graduation was held at the facilities of the AgroAceite School, with the presence of the company and Funcafé authorities, who handed out the diplomas to the elementary and pre-school graduating students.

Last April, Agroaceite began the diploma course “Community Adaptation to Climate Change” developed in alliances with the Institute for Climate Change -ICC-, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources -MARN- and the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction -CONRED-; who have contributed to impart the theoretical and practical sessions.
