Agroaceite, in partnership with the Health Area of Genova, Quetzaltenango, conducted two health activities for the purpose of providing preventive health to the citizens of the communities of Génova, Quetzaltenango.
The first activity involved treatment of skin ailments and the second activity involved house fumigation to prevent diseases such as dengue, malaria and chikungunya. Both activities were performed in communities close to the farm and in areas where Agroaceite workers live.
The fumigation activity covered 250 houses in the community of Arizona, in partnership with the Health Area of Génova and the Community Development Council of the community.
An activity to provide 113 people treatment for skill ailments such as dermatitis was carried out in the community of Valparaíso, Genova, department of Quetzaltenango. The Health Area of Genova offered training on hygiene to prevent skin diseases. This was done in partnership with the health area of Génova, teachers and the schoolmaster of the Valparaíso school.
